Medical conditions requiring pacemakers?

I know a woman who has been hospitalized 3 times over the past 4 years with bradycardia. The doctors cited a recent flu shot as the cause the first time. they said it was atenolol the second time. they said it was caused by lyrica the third time. One of them briefly mentioned the possibility of a pacemaker but none recommended it. Would a pacemaker be appropriate in this case? What aer the risks of having a pacemaker inserted?
