My character in my novel has passed out due to a "extraordinary event" and she is taken to the emergency room.?

What is the protocol for an unconscious person without any injuries, just maybe a few little bumps and scrapes. I work in a hospital but do not know the details or names of machines. Would they do a CT scan? Order blood work? I think in my novel she will be hospitalized.
