What can be done if we travel and we end up hospitalized in another state?

we live in Ca and came to AZ to visit over the weekend, my grandmother had a light stroke and is in the hospital in AZ, i have to go back to CA already, but they say we are risking her life if we take her in our car.They are suggesting we put her in a Hospice here and leave her. Is there any transportation like an ambulance that can take her all the way to Ca?
